KLCG Confectionery & Bakery @Dataran Merdeka
In case you have a sweet tooth and a love for pastries, head to KLCG Confectionery & Bakery @Dataran Merdeka. It is located in Kuala Lumpur City Gallery, which is a very cool information hub where you can learn more about the city. It is free to visit and together with the bakery, needs to be added to your Kuala Lumpur itinerary.
This bakery serves the famous Suprême croissants with some of the best fillings like mousse chocolate, peanut butter, and pistachio cream. Other pastries and cakes are available, however, I still dream about these round scrumptious delights. Trust me on this one!
I have to warn you, that their lunch & breakfast menu is very poor, so don’t plan to have a meal here. Their specialty comes from the bakery, so stick to that.
It is open from 9 am to 6 pm and can be combined with visiting Merdeka Square. The prices are a bit above average, but completely worth it.

When it comes to the menu, they have the usual breakfast food, toasties, pastries, cakes, etc., however, my favorite part is their lunch and dinner menu. A lot of unique dishes that you won’t find in other cafes in KL. Also, some local dishes are available.
It is open from 9 am to 10 pm, however, it is closed on Mondays. We stayed right around the corner from Wu Di Cafe and it was never really crowded. In fact, I think it makes Wu Di Cafe the best work-friendly cafe in KL.

Unlike the other cafes in Kuala Lumpur, this one is open after midnight and serves many cool cocktails, so it is a perfect place for a fun night out with your friends. During the day, it is just a regular cafe, so if partying is not your thing, it is still worth a visit.
Their pastries and cakes are to die for and I still dream about their chef’s signature dishes. It has a minimal design, cool aesthetics, and a plunge pool. Their unique tap tap cocktails are worth trying out as well!

Definitely, the views and the infinity pool are accessible to the customers or hotel guests. The cocktails are delicious and very affordable as well. I didn’t get to try their food, but there are some snacks available. This is hands down one of the best rooftop bars in KL.
If you are staying at the Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur, you can access the pool anytime, however, the bar itself opens at 3 pm and it is a perfect sunset spot in KL. This place hosts private events very often, so maybe give them a call just to confirm the availability before you head to Man Tao Bar.
